Oracle's all-encompassing on-premise analytics offering, Oracle Analytics Server (OAS), is now generally available. OAS offers a feature-rich analytics platform that meets both end-user and centralised IT needs. OAS combines new world augmented analytics capabilities like data preparation, insight generation and data explanation with a robust and secure enterprise reporting platform.
Existing OBIEE customers are automatically licensed for OAS, meaning that organisations can immediately take advantage of a tool that will undoubtedly encourage users and departments and the whole organisation to become more data driven.

OAS Features
OAS is the same code base as Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC). The main difference is that all hosting, systems management and configuration is retained in-house. OAS consists of Oracle BI Answers & Dashboards, Oracle Data Visualization and BI Publisher. It also includes the RPD component to enable organisations to define a semantic reporting model and implement security and governance.
